London-based temple chips in Rs five million to PM Relief Fund
Gulmi, Oct 3: The London-based Pashupatinath Temple Management Committee in UK has contributed Rs five million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund. The amount has been handed to Bipin Duwadi, chargé d'affaires at the Embassy of Nepal, London.
According to Temple Management Committee chair Romnath Pandey, Nepali government representative Duwadi observed it was a goodwill demonstrated by Nepali diaspora in the UK during crisis. It carries significant meaning, Duwadi added.
The amount handed as a humanitarian support was collected from Nepali and foreign devotees who visited the temple on the occasions of Jainapurnima, Krishnajanmastami and Haritalika Teej festivals, said Committee vice chair Tara Bhattarai.
