Hetauda, Oct 30: Vehicular movement has been suspended on the Kanti Highway for two consecutive nights bearing in mind an increased risk of floods and landslides due to incessant rains from the Cyclone Arnab, which developed over the Bay of Bengal. 
According to Makwanpur's assistant chief district officer, Sheshkant Paudel, vehicles were banned from plying on the highway from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am for two days, beginning this evening. 
The cyclone has triggered rains since Thursday. 
The District Administration Office of Makwanpur has urged one and all to avoid travelling along the route that connects Makwanpur to Kathmandu for two nights.
