Kathmandu, Oct 28: Sudurpaschim Royals have restricted Pokhara Avengers to 145 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in the match taking place under the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Twenty20 cricket tournament.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss in the match being played under lights at the TU International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur, Dipendra Singh Airee-led Sudurpaschim managed to keep their opposition to a partly total, taking 7 wickets and giving away only 145 runs in 20 overs.
For Pokhara, Arjun Gharti was the top scorer with 40 runs in 25 balls followed by Mahedi Hasan who scored 32 runs in 21 balls. Other notable contributors to Pokhara's total were Captain Kushal Burtel (21) and Shakib Al Hasan (14).
For the bowling side, Anil Kharel took 3 wickets while Hemant Dhami, Dipendra Singh Airee and Scott Kuggeleijn took one wicket each. 
This is Sudurpaschim's second match after a loss against Lumbini Lions in the inaugural match. Pokhara are playing their first match of the tournament.
Sudurpaschim need 146 runs to win the match today, and register their first win.
