At least 14 people were killed and 10 others wounded in Saudi airstrikes that hit a market and a fuel station in Yemen's northern province of Al-Jawf on Wednesday, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.

The channel said several airstrikes struck a public market in Al-Hazm, the provincial capital, while a separate strike hit the nearby Al-Tayseer fuel station, causing casualties at both sites.

The latest figure was up from an earlier toll of 12, with women and children among the casualties, Al-Masirah said, adding that the figure remained preliminary.

The casualty figures could not be independently verified, and there was no immediate comment from Saudi Arabia on the Houthi media report.

The reported strikes came amid continued cross-border attacks between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, alongside heavy fighting between the group and Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces.

Yemen has been mired in conflict since late 2014, when the Houthis seized the capital Sanaa and much of northern Yemen, prompting the Saudi Arabia-led coalition to intervene in 2015 in support of the Yemeni government.
