NVC continues monitoring of employees' office time, discipline
Kathmandu, Aug 6: The National Vigilance Centre (NVC) under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has intensified a monitoring of employees' office time and discipline in a bid to maintain good governance and improve public service.
Since the formation of present government, NVC conducted monitoring of 853 government offices and directed the authorities concerned to take action against 8,830 employees who violated code of conduct, according to PM's secretariat.
NVC is also working on technical test of national plans/projects, file tracking to curb delay in service delivery and survey of service seekers' satisfaction. Efforts are in a final stage to formulate a 'vigilance act' in order to empower NVC. Vigilance officers would be managed at province, district and local levels to beef up regulation system.
