Kathmandu, Oct 28: Ten foreign nationals, who arrived in Nepal on a tourist visa to conduct a health camps for a Christian mission, have been arrested.

The Ministry of Home Affairs shared information that the documents of these ten foreign nationals, including doctors, have been seized and sent to the Department of Immigration. They were taken action for their involvement in promoting Christian religious activities at Bargachhi of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-7 in Morang district.

They also held the health camp without obtaining the necessary permit, according to the district authority monitoring the foreign nationals. Their passports have been forwarded to the Department of Immigration for further action, according to the Ministry.

The health camp was organized by Pastor Pawel Dangal. It was being held for four days starting from October 25. Pastor Bangdel had previously been conducting such Christian religious classes on a place which was meant for constructing a hospital.

The foreign nationals were from Brazil, Canada and the United States. They had entered Nepal on October 22 and 23, 2026 bearing visas with validity till the time between November 6 and 21.

Among 10 foreign nationals, three are from Brazil, two from Canada and five from the United States.
