Weather update: Chances of heavy rain in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini provinces
Kathmandu, Aug 24: The current weather update indicates that the monsoon is actively affecting various regions of the country.
According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rainfall has been observed in the Bagmati, Gandaki, and several areas of the Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as isolated spots in the Madhes province.
This afternoon, the forecast predicts predominantly cloudy conditions nationwide, with a likelihood of moderate rain and snowfall, particularly in the Himalayan region, accompanied by thunder and lightning.
The bulletin highlights that many hilly areas may experience similar weather, with specific Terai regions in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces also at risk for moderate rain and thunderstorms.
There is a notable concern for heavy rain in select locations within the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. As night approaches, cloudy skies are expected to persist, with continued chances of moderate rain or snowfall and thunderstorms in mountainous areas.
