Kathmandu, Aug 19: The government has decided to increase the remuneration of teachers and school employees working under the federal grant. 
The Cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today decided to increase the salary of Early Childhood Development Facilitators (ECDs), school employees and school assistants by Rs. 5,000 per month, shared Government Spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel.
The meeting also decided to accept a grant assistance of about Rs. 2.73 billion from the Government of Japan for the project related to air traffic control improvement at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Similarly, approval has been given to send a Nepali delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to participate in the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations to be held in New York, United States of America.
The Council of Ministers has approved the establishment of a sub-center of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center in Nepal. 
The government has approved the signing of a bilateral air service agreement between Nepal and Saudi Arabia. 
The meeting has approved the Software Development and Operations Committee (Formation) Order, 2083 BS. 
Similarly, a decision was taken to promote Joint Secretary Kamal Prasad Bhattarai to the Gazetted Special Category and post him as the Chief Secretary of the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Bagmati Province.
