Kathmandu, Aug 20: The prices of gold and silver have seen a sharp rise in the domestic market today. 

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of yellow metal has jumped by Rs 9,300 per tola (11.66 grammes) and reached Rs 313,400 per tola today. It was traded at 304,100 per tola on Wednesday.

Similarly, the Federation has fixed the price of silver at Rs 4,855 per tola today. It was Rs 4,595 on Wednesday.

According to international media, gold is being traded at 4,512 US dollar per ounce and silver at 67 US dollar per ounce in the international market today.
