Meetings of nine parliamentary committees taking place today
Kathmandu, Aug. 20: The meetings of nine parliamentary committees of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to take place today.
As per the schedule, the Finance Committee is meeting at 11:00 am to hold discussions on the Bill Designed to amend Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058. The Finance Minister and Finance Secretary have been invited at the meeting.
Likewise, the meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee is scheduled to take place at 11:00 am to hold discussions with stakeholders on the Tourism Bill, 2081.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat stated that the meeting of the Industry and Commerce and Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee is summoned at 10:00 am to hold discussions on complaints received at the Committee.
Similarly, the meeting of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee taking place at 10:00 am is expected to hold discussions with producers of bio-fertilizers.
The Infrastructure Development Committee is meeting at 10:00 am to discuss the Bagmati Beautification Project.
The meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee is taking place at 11:00 am, which will hold discussions with the office-bearers of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) about the activities of the CIAA.
Furthermore, the meeting of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee is taking place at 10:00 am. The meeting is scheduled to discuss about the Bill on National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation), 2081.
The meeting of the Public Accounts Committee taking place at 10:00 am is to hold discussions on auditing of foreign assistance that the country receives.
The meeting of the Legislation Management Committee is summoned at 1:00 pm today to discuss the issues relating to parliamentary interrelations.
