Lalitpur, Aug. 20: Home Minister Sudan Gurung has termed the public service delivery of Lalitpur Metropolitan City as praiseworthy and exemplary.  
Speaking at the inauguration of the 'Smart Street Light' project installed by Lalitpur Metropolitan City along the Balkumari-Balkhu section on Wednesday, Minister Gurung also appreciated the metropolitan city's measures to preserve art, culture and civilization.
Gurung said the measures taken by Lalitpur and Bhaktapur cities to preserve art, culture and traditions make feel a sense of national pride.
The Home Minister stated that the Home Ministry could also learn from such innovative initiatives carried out by the metropolitan city.
On the occasion, Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Chiribabu Maharjan said the smart street lights along the 7.9-km stretch would help reduce road accidents.
