Kathmandu, Aug 23: The weather update report indicates substantial monsoon activity nationwide. According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, low-pressure system is influencing the weather patterns. 
Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, has been observed in several provinces, including Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim, with occasional occurrences in Gandaki Province. 
The forecast suggests that heavy rainfall may affect certain hilly areas within these provinces. General weather changes are expected, with continued light to moderate rain and thundershowers likely in various locations. 
The department has issued a warning regarding potential disasters such as landslides, floods, and erosion in areas vulnerable to heavy rainfall. 
Authorities are urging the public to take necessary precautions and remain informed, as the adverse weather conditions may disrupt daily activities, agriculture, health services, tourism, and transportation.
