Saraswati Secondary School in Dhorpatan gets additional rooms
Baglung on Aug 23: Saraswati Secondary School, located in Dhorpatan Municipality-9, has recently added twelve classrooms and eight toilets.
This development was made possible by the Gurkha Welfare Trust Nepal, which allocated Rs 26 million to improve the school's infrastructure over the last eight months.
Headmaster Tham Prakash Jaisi noted that the new facilities have significantly enhanced the teaching environment at the school, which has historically struggled with overcrowded classrooms.
Currently, there are 431 students enrolled in this remote institution. Previously, the shortage of classrooms compelled teachers to accommodate as many as 60 students in a single room.
"With the addition of 12 new classrooms and toilets, we now have sufficient space for a laboratory, library, and additional resources," Jaisi remarked.
