Kathmandu, Aug. 23: The vehicular movement in different districts have been obstructed due to rain-induced disasters, while the administration has suspended traffic in the night time in some road sections for safety measures.

According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, some road sections in Kavre, Sindhupalchowk, Rasuwa, Rukum Paschim, Ilam, Nuwakot, Rolpa, Makawanpur and some other districts were impacted from the rain-induced disasters.

The Mechi Highway in Ilam Municipality-9 was fully obstructed following a mudslide at Rajduwali. The travellers have been asked to opt for alternative routes in the section.

Likewise, the Araniko Highway is fully blocked after the landslides at Kodari and Liping area in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-2 in Sindhupalchowk district. 

The Pasang Lhyamu road section and Trishuli-Mailung-Syaphrubensi road section are also obstructed due to landslides in Uttargaya Rural Municipality-5 and in Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2 in Rasuwa district. 

The Nepal Police stated that the Jajarkot-Dolpa road section is completely obstructed after a landslide at Rijegard in Aathbiskot Municipality-6 in Rukum Paschim district.

Furthermore, the traffic in the Sahid Highway in Rolpa district was obstructed after a landslide happened this morning at the Landre area of Thawang Rural Municipality-2 in Rolpa district.
