Banke, Aug. 23: Chiranjivi Oli was elected the Chairman of Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry by defeating his rival Dhruba Prasad Dahal.

As per the results announced today, Oli won the election with 1,386 votes while his rival Dahal managed to secure 374 votes.  

Prior to this, Oli served as the senior vice chairman of the committee.

Rupa Ojha was elected the vice-chairman under the woman's category and Bishnu Shrestha made to the post of general secretary by securing 1,287 votes against his rival Dipendra Kumar Joshi's 408 votes.    

Likewise, Pradip Acharya was elected the assistant general secretary by defeating Shiva Prasad Dahal. Similarly, Tikamani Upadhyay was elected to the post of treasurer. 

Santosh Kumar Poudel, Top Bahadur Thapa, Nandaram Jaisi, Sharad Raj Adhikari, Nagendra Shahi, Aditya Gupta, Jahagir Musalman, Sharad Prasad Rijal, Suraj Bahadur Bhandari and Atul Kumar Gupta were elected as the executive committee members. 

Kamal Kumar Karki and Bishnu Prasad Shrestha were elected unanimously under the categories of industry and commerce, respectively.
