Special task force to address GenZ demands

Kathmandu, Aug 24: The government is to work through a special taskforce to address the demands of martyr families and injured of Gen-Z movement.
During a meeting held under chair of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung at his office on Monday, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, members of House of Representatives, chief secretary, home secretary, representatives from martyr and injured families of GenZ movement were present. 
On the occasion, views were exchanged about the situation of implementation of 10-point agreement approved by cabinet on December 10, 2024 for the implementation of demands of martyr families and injured of GenZ movement of September 8 and 9, 2025 as well as 24-point proposal approved on July 2. 
A decision was taken to assign the facilitation committee formed under chairmanship of joint-secretary under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers as the special taskforce to implement only Gen-Z related issues to address their demands.
Discussion was also held on various issues including declaring Gen-Z Council, declaring Gen-Z Martyrs Day, declaring Daulat Thapa as 'Living Martyr', amendment to 24-point proposal, construction of Gen-Z statues in Parliament Building premises and Gen-Z park, according to the Home Ministry.
