Nepalgunj (Banke), Aug 24: New HIV/AIDS patients have been registered at Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj. At the end of the fiscal year 2082/83 (2025/26), HIV testing confirmed 83 new patients. Testing for HIV/AIDS was carried out on 7,805 people that year.

Dr. Sanket Kumar Risal, the HIV 'focal person' at the hospital, informed that infected individuals were provided ART services promptly.

The hospital has stated that it is running services with a focus on identifying people with HIV, ensuring regular treatment, preventing transmission, and reducing the chances of mother-to-child transmission.
